Could be on active duty USAF help my chances at all? I've seen a lot of guys in uniforms and equipment in the pits Im going to race in Phoenix in November, and has the tickets, but wonder how I can put myself in position to decrease the wells. How tix under my command or a local recruiter is not really an option since I live in Utah, far from all tracks. I was hoping the race pit pass but really had my heart set on the drivers' meeting and things .. this is the first race of my wife when I wanted it to be a special experience and perhaps make things interesting. I've been in many races before Dover and Martinsville, but never tried to descend into the pit or anything good ..

In fact, you do not get points for being at the pole. If you start on the pole and get the lead in the first round, then you get 5 bonus points for having directed the first back. The only thing the pole has bragging rights and be ahead of the pack.
